BUSINESS
OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank plan five new AI data centers
The Stargate project expands with five new U.S. data centers targeting nearly 7 gigawatts of capacity and creating 25,000 jobs.
Locations include Texas, New Mexico, Ohio, and a yet-to-be-disclosed Midwestern site under development.
Total investment for Stargate now exceeds $400 billion on track to reach $500 billion in the coming years.
Crypto giant Tether seeks $500B valuation in major raise
Tether is seeking to raise $15–20 billion in a private placement valuing the stablecoin issuer around $500 billion.
The deal would offer about a 3 percent stake and is being advised by Cantor Fitzgerald.
Tether’s dominance in the stablecoin market and strong reserves support its high valuation aspiration.
FDA likely to approve leucovorin as therapy for some autism-related cerebral folate deficiency
Leucovorin, a form of folinic acid, is being reviewed for FDA approval to treat cerebral folate deficiency linked to autistic traits.
Small studies suggest improvements in verbal skills, social interaction, and reduced irritability among affected children.
Though off-label use exists, experts caution that existing evidence is preliminary and call for larger controlled trials.
