A GitGuardian researcher found plaintext credentials in a public GitHub repo maintained by an employee of a CISA contractor.
The exposed credentials included access tokens and cloud keys for CISA and Department of Homeland Security systems.
The researcher verified that some keys were valid and alerted reporter Brian Krebs after the contractor failed to respond.
